For the last 10 years, he served as the CFO for the $91million Community Alliance Credit Union in Dearborn, Mich., and healso worked as a financial analyst with the $574 CommunityFederal Credit Union in Plymouth, Mich.

The $604 million First Citizens' Federal Credit Union inFairhaven, Mass., announced three promotions and two appointments.George Custodio was promoted to SVP and chief of finance andlending operations. Christopher Howard was promoted to SVP,and chief of retail and support operations. Leslie Poulinwas promoted to director of marketing. Jennifer LaFrance wasappointed vice president of retail operations and ChristopherGuenette was appointed retail sales manager.

The $401 million Belco Community Credit Union inHarrisburg, Pa., promoted Jason Allen to SVP of sales andservice and Paul Perini to SVP of operations. With more thantwo decades of experience in the financial services industry, Allenjoined Belco in 2010. Prior to joining Belco in 2002, Perini workedin the consumer finance industry for six years.

The $2 billion Atlanta Postal Credit Union in Atlanta,announced three promotions. Teresa Stonecypher was promotedto vice president of branch operations, Greg Jamison waspromoted to consumer loan manager and Shawn Reid waspromoted to the main office operations manager. Stonecypher joinedthe credit union in 1993 and previously served as a branch manager.Jamison started with Atlanta Postal in 1986 and most recentlyworked as a mortgage manager. Reid joined the cooperative in 2000and most recently held the position of an IRA representative.

Joyce Dye, who served as SVP of strategic planning at the$3.6 billion Redstone Federal Credit Union in Huntsville,Ala., since 2002, retired in September. Her proudest achievementsincluded managing the successful conversion of Redstone's insuranceproducts from Cetera to LPL Financial, one of the largest brokerdeals in the country, and establishing a project managementoffice.

Maurice W. Johnson, who chairs the $1.2 billion,Pensacola, Fla.,-based Pen Air Federal Credit Union board ofdirectors, was inducted into the Defense Credit Union Council'sHall of Honor during its annual conference in Dallas. Reserved forthose who have gone above and beyond the call of duty with theirefforts to promote the welfare of members and the industry, Johnsonwas honored for promoting the credit union philosophy of “peoplehelping people” through his dedication to community outreach.

The $50 million Dayton Firefighters Federal Credit Unionannounced Thomas Newton was appointed the Dayton, Ohio-basedcooperative's president/CEO. He spent the last 27 years in thecredit union industry most recently as SVP, member services, forthe $379 melon Universal 1 Credit Union in Dayton and wasEVP of operations for the $87 million FirstDay Financial FederalCredit Union in Dayton, which merged with the $313 millionRiver Valley Credit Union in Miamisburg, Ohio, April 1.

The $3.3 billion Lake Michigan Credit Union in GrandRapids promoted Sara Hendrickson to vice president of retailsales and service. She joined LMCU in 1996 and holds more than 22years of banking experience having previously worked at Grant StateBank, Valley Ridge Bank and Choice One Bank.

The $9.3 million Energy Services Federal Credit Union inSt. Cloud, Minn., honored Penny K. Jarnot with the MinnesotaCredit Union Foundation's Credit Union Builder awardrecognizing those who have dedicated time and energy to buildingthe credit union movement. After more than 25 years of service atEnergy Services FCU, Jarnot is set to retire in October.

Marta Elliott was appointed public relations coordinatorat the $1.6 billion United Federal Credit Union in St.Joseph, Mich. Her previous corporate communications experienceincludes positions with HighPoint Global LLC, American ElectricPower and she also was the owner/principal executive of her ownmarketing and communications practice.

The $4.1 billion Patelco Credit Union in Pleasanton,Calif., hired Sue Gruber as SVP and CFO. The $985 millionColumbia Credit Union in Vancouver, Wash., promoted Tabitha Presserto vice president/branch manager. The $2.7 billion Wescom CreditUnion in Pasadena, Calif., appointed Irving Yu as its SVP andCFO.
