NAFCU has added three new membersto its team of regulatory compliance counsels. The tradeassociation cited increased in demand for compliance assistance among its members as the reason behindthe move.

Bruyere, Nealon and Pineres

Brandy Bruyere, Alicia Nealon and Ricardo Pineres will beresponsible for handling regulatory compliance inquiries frommember credit unions, delivering presentations at NAFCU events andconferences and writing for the association's newsletterpublications and blog.

“NAFCU is responding to our members needs for timely complianceassistance as the regulatory environment and all its rules hasdrastically increased from all the various regulators,” NAFCUPresident/CEO Dan Berger told Credit Union Times.

Prior to joining NAFCU, Bruyere served as a financial law and policy analyst forthe University of Maryland Center for Health and Homeland Security,focusing on issues related to derivatives regulations. Nealonworked at the NCUA in the Office of General Counsel. Pineres waspreviously employed at the Maryland & D.C. Credit UnionAssociation as vice president of advocacy-legislative affairs.
