CUNA has confirmed reports that Paul Gentile, CUNA's executive vice president of communicationshas been named the new president of the Massachusetts Credit UnionLeague, New Hampshire Credit Union League and the Credit UnionAssociation of Rhode Island.

He will replace MCUL President Dan Egan, who will retire inJanuary.

Before joining CUNA on Jan. 7, Gentile served for five years asCEO/president of the New Jersey Credit Union League where he led awide range of projects, including legislative approval for New Jersey credit unions to compete in the state's $15 billionmunicipal deposits market, leadership of the CUNA/league effortto create a national consumer awareness site, development of anNCUA examination survey, NJ READ, which provides the NCUA withon-the-ground data on examination practices at credit unions, andcreation of a statewide shared compliance program that bringsaffordable, on-site compliance support to credit unions.
