The $1.9 billion CommunityAmerica Credit Union has agreed to renew a long-termcontract to the naming rights for the home ballpark of the minorleague baseball team, the Kansas City T-Bones.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed Tuesday.

The 6,270-seat stadium has been known as CommunityAmericaBallpark ever since the T-Bones moved to Kansas City, Kan., fromDuluth, Minn., 10 years ago.

“More than just a naming rights sponsorship, CommunityAmericaBallpark clearly demonstrates our commitment to providing ourcommunity with affordable, family-friendly entertainment,” saidLisa Ginter, CommunityAmerica CU chief operating officer.

“We believe this sponsorship brings more awareness to KansasCitians that they can — and should— be members of our credit unionto benefit from our sincere approach to helping them succeedfinancially,” Ginter said. “For that reason and more, we considerthis a home run for both organizations.”

The credit union said that over the past 10 years, it'sestimated that more than 3 million fans have attended baseballgames at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, which is also a venue forprofessional soccer matches, concerts and other events.

The Kansas City T-Bones baseball team has the second-highestattendance record among the13 teams in the American Association ofIndependent Professional Baseball League, the credit unionsaid.
