Fiserv Inc. will be working with WorkLight Inc. to provideapplications and widgets across a wide variety of touchpoints,including smartphones, tablets, social network sites andcomputers.

WorkLight is a New York City-based provider of mobileapplication platforms that include native and Web development,integration and tracking tools.

They will be used to produce custom and packaged applicationsthat will "allow banks and credit unions to extend new and existingbanking and payments 'apps' to multiple environments beyond theirtraditional online or mobile presence," Fiserv said.

The two companies will initially focus on payment applicationsfor gifting, alerts and donations with plans to expand into a broadrange of banking solutions that can be brought to market quickly,they said.
