ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Making the regulatory process more straightforward and transparent and improving the workplace environment are among the NCUA's top priorities for the next five years.

The five-goal strategic plan for 2011-2015, which the NCUA Board unanimously approved yesterday, "builds on previous plans but adds a goal of developing a regulatory environment that is transparent and effective."

The plan, which is required of all federal agencies, also includes a new goal of cultivating a workplace atmosphere that "fosters a diverse, well-trained and motivated staff."
