Deseret First Credit Union has tapped former board chairmanClinton R. Gurney as its new president/CEO.
|Gurney replaces Kris J. Mecham who will be serving as presidentof the Mongolia Ulaanbaatar mission of The Church of Jesus Christof Latter-Day Saints. Mecham will also leave an open seat when heexits the CUNA chairmanship.
|The former LDS Church director of temporal affairs in thePacific area joins the Salt lake City-based credit union followinga career that has taken him around the world in a variety offinancial and human resources positions. He retired from the Churchin 2009 after 27 years of service. From 1969 to 1982, Gurney servedin various controller and treasury positions at Eli Lilly &Co.
