CUNA has nominated Metro Credit Union President/CEO RobertCashman and US Federal Credit Union Credit Union William Raker tothe Federal Reserve Board's Thrift Institution AdvisoryCouncil.

Cashman has worked at METRO CU, based in Chelsea, Mass., for 26years and is on CUNA's Board of Directors. Raker has been involvedin the credit union system for more than 30 years and in hiscurrent position at the Burnsville, Minn.-based credit union for 12years. He is on the board of the Minnesota Credit Union Network andis the former chairman of CUNA's Governmental AffairsCommittee.

The council is a 12-member panel which meets with the FederalReserve Board to provide advice on issues of importance to creditunions, mutual savings banks and savings and loan institution. Itsmembers are appointed by the board and meet three times a year.Council members serve two-year terms.
