JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri credit unions are heading the charge to stop financial abuse of the elderly in the state.

The Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation contributed $8,000 to help fund the new Missourians Stopping Adult Financial Exploitation (MOSAFE) consumer video.

The new consumer video is narrated by Missouri native Doris Roberts, an Emmy Award-winning actress best known for her role as Raymond's mother on the television show Everybody Loves Raymond. Missouri credit unions also helped MOSAFE produce a video in 2005 that trained employees of financial institutions to recognize and report elder financial abuse.
