PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Two days after unveiling its new name,Riverset Credit Union has filed an application with thePennsylvania Department of Banking to merge with Duke FederalCredit Union.

Previously known as Pittsburgh Teachers Credit Union, the $87million Riverset officially launched its new moniker on Jan. 1.According to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking, Riverset filedan application on Jan. 3 to merge with $1 million Duke FCU.

On Dec.3, Riverset filed an amendment to its articles ofincorporation to provide service to the underserved and low-incomearea served by Duke FCU.

Pittsburgh-based Duke FCU serves roughly 500 members. RiversetFCU serves more than 13,000 members.
