SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Federal Credit Union has helped ensure the Lakeside Middle School Color Guard keeps throwing, twisting, stomping and spinning in a show of school spirit.

The credit union's recent $700 donation helped provide new equipment for the nine-member squad that supports the band and other school activities.

Prior to the donation, the squad practiced with torn, crudely patched flags and poles that often caused painful splinters.
