WOBURN, Mass. – EasCorp has set its speaker lineup for its eighth annual ALM & Investment Academies this March. Among the Academies' lecturers and topics are Thomas Bowers, senior education programs director at the IPS-Sendero Institute, who will present forward-looking liquidity planning techniques and ALM modeling insights; Dan Gordon, senior capital markets officer in the NCUA's Office of Capital Markets and Planning, who will address infrastructure issues as they relate to risk-taking; and Dr. Steve Mann, professor of Finance at the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina and a fixed-income instructor for Frank J. Fabozzi Associates, who will speak on investment analysis. "The Academies are designed to offer a balance of lecture and case studies, supplementing a student's previous education and on-the-job training," said Alan Bernstein, senior vice president for EasCorp and one of the Academies' faculty members. The two-day schools feature three tracks: Introductory Academy, Intermediate Academy and Advanced Academy. Bernstein says offering the programs on three tracks allows elected officials and professional staff at various stages of financial knowledge to take advantage of the schools. They will be held March 8-10, 2006, at the Babson Executive Conference Center in Wellesley, Mass.
