As an active broker of credit union credit card portfolios, wewere dismayed to read your October 8th page 1 story, "CardPortfolios Strengthening Somewhat.," in which Steven Fuld ofKessler Financial Services claimed to have brokered 70% of CUcredit card portfolio sales. I believe this claim is misleading tothe credit union community. TNB and InfiCorp combined havepurchased approximately 60% of credit union credit card portfoliosso far this year. To the best of my knowledge, not one of thesetransactions was brokered by Kessler Financial, which is "ironic"since Mr. Fuld complained about other brokerage firms reporting hisfirm's transactions.
