BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Fiserv EFT/CNS is the first third-party processor to be certified to credit union shared processing firm Credit Union Service Corporation's Next Generation Network switch. CUSC designed the switch to help credit unions cut down on fraud by enhancing message fields and giving credit unions more customizable features. The deal is big for CUSC because of Fiserv's processing reach in the CU industry, including seven data processing subsidiaries. Fiserv EFT/CNS provides shared-branching services to more than 250 clients and processes approximately 1.2 million shared-branch transactions per month as part of an existing co-switch agreement with CUSC. "Fiserv is the largest provider of technology services to the credit union industry, and their EFT/CNS unit is a key component in delivering seamless debit and ATM services to our membership," said Carroll Beach, President/CEO of CUSC.
