Jackson has been Deputy Secretary for thepast three years. The president described him as “an experiencedexecutive in the public and private sectors, a man who knows theissues facing HUD and knows how to get things done.He is one of themost experienced and respected authorities on housing policy inAmerica who will be a superb Secretary of Housing and UrbanDevelopment.”
