PITTSBURGH (AP) — Health insurer Highmark Inc. says it is selling a Medicare services subsidiary to a Florida firm.

The Pittsburgh-based company announced on Thursday the sale of Highmark Medical Services to Diversified Service Options of Jacksonville, Fla.

Details of the deal were not disclosed in a joint news release from the two companies. The sale is expected to close in early January, and Highmark Medical Services will continue to operate as a separate organization.
