Rebounding from a shaky 2012, Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson recorded The Am Law 100′s biggest increase in profits per partner last year. PPP soared 24.3 percent, to $1.635 million, the firm’s highest ever. Gross revenue rose 3.3 percent, to $458.5 million, and revenue per lawyer climbed 9.1 percent, to $1.02 million—the first time the firm’s RPL has crossed the $1 million mark.

“We had a very strong year,” cochair Valerie Ford Jacob said in an interview in March. “A number of practices were very busy—real estate, corporate, asset management and private equity. We’re going into this year with a lot of momentum.” By contrast, Fried Frank’s gross revenue in 2012 slid 6.3 percent, while profits per partner plunged 16.8 percent—the steepest dive of any Am Law 100 firm that year.
