A group of Miami music agents is suing singer-songwriter Elijah King, winner of the FIFA World Cup SuperSong competition, and Sony Music Entertainment Inc., alleging he reneged on a development contract.

The lawsuit filed Monday in Miami-Dade Circuit Court claims Sony talked King into giving a song to the company for a pitch to pop superstar Ricky Martin while under a one-year contract with Miami-based Hundred Proof Club LLC, Think Famous Productions LLC, Akelan Family Inc. and JDK Entertainment LLC. The Miami companies provided marketing, development and management services to King under a contract that began in April 2013.
